Lock the Nespresso Vertuoline machine by turning the level to the lock sign and then unlock by turning it right. Now again press and hold the button for about 7 seconds.
Place the large cup (20 ounces) under the nozzle and let your machine drain in the vessel. (If the draining doesn’t start, lock the machine; press the button again to begin the process).
Step-5 Rinse it out:
After removing the water, eliminate and rinse out the water tank along with a drip tray. Now fill the tank with more than halfway with the water and place the tank in the machine.
Lock the machine and press the button again to rinse the water from the machine. The Nespresso Vertuoline machine will automatically stop once the process is completed.
Step-6 Exit Descaling mode:
For the last time press and hold the button for about 7 seconds. The machine will stop flashing automatically and become solid. It indicates that the machine descaling process is completed.
Step-7 Let the Machine Dry:
Finally, give some time to your machine to dry completely. Give it about 15-20 minutes and then you can comfortably start using the machine again.
Descaling Nespresso Vertuoline with Citric Acid or Vinegar:
To be honest, Nespresso Vertuoline descaling solutions are expensive. This is prime one of the prime reasons why most people prefer to use natural alternatives for descaling.
You can use white vinegar or citric acid as alternatives to commercial descaling solutions to get the same results. Citric acid is highly recommended as it is richly concentrated to provide best descaling results.
